Taking this trip is one of the best things I have ever done. I recommend this to everybody. The New England excursions team organized this so well. The whole trip, from pick-up to drop-off, was very smooth. Matthew picked us up from from our hotels and provided us excellent commentary (and hilarious jokes!) and recommendations while driving us to Woods Hole. The ferry ride was incredible. Once we arrived in Oak Bluffs, Greg did a marvellous job at drving us around MV and explaining the history in a very entertaining way. It was so compelling. I highly recommend opting into the island tour option! All in all, wonderful experience. I wish I could give it 10 stars instead of 5.

This was a really good day out although expensive. If you're not bothered about a tour of the island, you can get the bus from Boston to the Martha's Vineyard ferry port and take the ferry over independently. We were only given an hour in Edgartown and two hours in Oak Bluffs. Oak Bluffs is a small village where the port is back to the mainland. Edgartown is much more interesting and it would have been good to have been allowed more time there. The bus service on the island is very good should you decide to go there independently.

Great overview of the island. Would have liked to have more stops for pics but bridge construction took up extra time. Not tour's fault at all. Plenty of time left for lunch and shopping at ferry stop.

We had a lovely time on the island during this tour. It was nice for my 80 year old parents who have a hard time walking long distances to see a lot of the island in a short amount of time. Just enough time to pick up the vibe of the island and to give you context for all the history you’ve read and heard about over time.

We were able to get a good sense of the history of the area. The guides were on time and took good care of the group.

Great experience! Learned a lot about Boston culture, celebrities, land, etc. Tour guide was informative and funny. He got us to the ferry on time despite a lot of holiday traffic and the guide was there waiting for us when we got off the ferry. My friend and I decided to do the self guided tour once we got to Martha Vineyard. We ate the restaurants the tour guide recommended, did some shopping, and went to the beach. I highly recommend this tour.

The tour reflected what was on the website. We enjoyed our whole day with Matt and Greg. We found Matt provided the right amount of historical facts and stories balanced with current events in and around Boston (sports, entertainment etc.). Both guides were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The found the tour reflected what was on the website. We happened to hit the best day of the year thus far weather wise so this was a huge bonus. The timeline is accurate and we appreciated being picked up at our hotel right on time.
