Your Itinerary

Harlem

(Pass by)

Get what you want out of your experience - try globally influenced flavors as you sample some of Harlem's classic soul food dishes

Brooklyn Bridge

(Pass by)

You could walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, maybe at night? Let us paint the picture- the moon overhead, stars reflected in the East River below- truly magical.

Bronx Museum of the Arts

(Pass by)

Catch an exhibition or live jazz act at the Bronx Museum of the Arts- if you feel super cultured

Brooklyn

(Pass by)

Microbreweries, prohibition brew houses and NY pizza (enough said).

Williamsburg

(Pass by)

Roam around this hip(ster) spot, seeing what there is to see, eating what there is to eat and shopping what there is to shop. Head’s up, there’s a lot of all of the above. Spot vivid street art, sift through thrift stores, pop into impossibly cool boutiques, muse over contemporary art in a small gallery, peruse the local flea market or just kick it on a barge overlooking the Manhattan skyline.

Greenwich Village

(Pass by)

If you’ve ever wondered what New York tastes like, you’ll find out on in Greenwich Village. You’ll could on the dishes that are close to every New Yorker’s heart, from warm-from-the-oven choc’ chip cookies to creamy New York cheesecake, to Sicilian-style arancini - decadent bites of fried rice stuffed with dreamy combos like Bolognese sauce and melted cheese. Snack in a classic ‘mom and pop’ shops as you hear about the Italian immigrants who brought their incredible food culture with them, indulge in a freshly filled cannoli and float away into New York food heaven as you bite into classics like bagels with lox or a door-stopper sized pastrami sandwich.

Grand Central Terminal

(Pass by)

You’ll see the iconic skyscrapers and landmarks - hello Grand Central - but the twist is, it will be through the eyes of your host. They can’t wait to share with you what they love about the area, where they hang out, and what’s good to eat and drink.

Midtown

(Pass by)

From Times Square to Rockefeller to the Empire State, there are more New York landmarks here per square metre than anywhere else in the city (probably, we haven’t had this fact independently verified…) and your host can’t wait to show them to you! NOTE: Entrance fees are not included and we recommend that you visit the interior of these attractions autonomously.

Meatpacking District

(Pass by)

Dimly lit cocktail bars, gallery openings, flagship designer stores and ultra-cool restaurants. Whether your idea of a good time is more trendy and high-end designer shopping followed by a cocktail, dinner at the latest restaurant opening followed an evening musing over contemporary art, or bar hopping between sleek wine bars and dimly-lit cocktail joints, you’ll find it all here.

SoHo

(Pass by)

Enjoy the famous Soho and its hidden gems just around the corner from iconic attractions, and wander its historic streets

Little Italy

(Pass by)

We would recommend perusing the delis in Little Italy though, which have been in the same families for generations and trying a cannoli or two, then paying homage to NY’s very first pizzeria (by eating a slice, obviously).

Edward was amazing! We booked an 8 hour private tour and got to visit all the sites on our list. Edward was a wealth of knowledge and a native New Yorker who knew the secret ins and outs of the city. With him as our guide we traveled via subway and bus and had a fantastic time. Thanks Edward for everything!

Our tour guide Jason was very accomodating, engaging, and knowledgeable. He was a great resource that made the most of our trip to New York. I would highly recommend him.

This guided tour was great. Bill showed us what we wanted to see and a lot of things we didn’t know we needed do see. One thing though - didn’t think that there would be as much walking (knew there would be some, but not the 10+ klm), and it was so very cool that he changed his plans and we ended up at World Trade Centre. Muchly appreciated ….

Maurita of City unscripted showed us New York south of 23rd West street. She has been an excellent guide, very knowledgable of the local areas, Wall Street area, China Town, little Italy, Brooklyn Bridge, Greenwich, West Village. We truly enjoyed her company and historic knowledge. Highly recommended.

I gave a list of places to our guide and he listened and hit them all for us. It's a great option if you don't mind walking a lot.

Maurita was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. She knows the City well. We had fun going to many great bars and clubs. She took us to many places we would not have found. She also listened to our desires and found us some great Jazz Bands. This tour is well worth it!

Maurita, took us on a wonderful 8hr walking tour of New York City. It didn't get off to a good start as she was late due to the vagaries of New York trains but she soon warmed up. She took the trouble to take 10 minutes at our hotel with us to plan what we would particularly like to see and then modified her planned route accordingly. We took the subway to Battery Park at the south tip of Manhattan and then walked from there to Wall Street, the World Trade Center memorial, the Brooklyn Bridge, NYPD 1 Police Precinct, Chinatown for lunch, Little Italy and Greenwich Village for a cocktail. She then pointed us in the right direction to visit the Empire State Building on our own and took her leave at 7pm. She was very knowledgeable about the various site and of NY in general and we all greatly enjoyed the tour.

We had an amazing tour with Maurita. We started at the auburn Square farmers market and then traveled to historical stops and the best restaurants. All carefully planned and informative. Each stop was awesome and places I would never know to go otherwise. Maurita was friendly, informed and we enjoyed spending the afternoon with her. Highly recommend!!
