Yellowstone National Park

(Pass by)

Yellowstone National Park is a nearly 3,500-sq.-mile wilderness recreation area atop a volcanic hot spot. Mostly in Wyoming, the park spreads into parts of Montana and Idaho too. Yellowstone features dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, lush forests, hot springs and gushing geysers, including its most famous, Old Faithful. It's also home to hundreds of animal species, including bears, wolves, bison, elk and antelope.

Lamar Valley

Located in the northeastern corner of the park, the Lamar Valley, along the Lamar River, in is often called America’s Serengeti for its large and easy-to-see populations of large animals. Among its most famous inhabitants are the Junction Butte Wolf Pack Members; wolf enthusiasts gather with spotting scopes most days hoping to see these impressive canines in action. In addition to wolves, other animals roaming the Lamar include large herds of bison, pronghorn, badgers, grizzly bears, bald eagles, osprey, deer, and coyotes.

Jack was amazing! So passionate about wildlife and conservation and Yellowstone! He was a wealth of knowledge. So impressive! He had answers to our questions plus interesting stories and tidbits. My only criticism is the cost of this venture. Way too highly priced.

It was a wildlife tour, and we saw plenty of wildlife! Huge herds of bison, including calves, as well as the solitary males, and quite a few came near the road and even crossed it near us. Also saw a coyote on the road among the bison and cars, and a lot of elk. But the real highlight was seeing a black bear and FIVE wolves! My guide Alex, was friendly and engaging, with plenty of knowledge about Yellowstone. Had a terrific time and would definitely recommend.

We had a great time with our guide Isaac. He was very knowledgeable about not just the animals in Yellowstone but all things Montana. We saw your typical bison and elk during our tour and were also able to see a badger, black bear, and a grizzly bear and her cubs. My family enjoyed talking with him about our dogs, especially my youngest son and exchanging funny dog stories. Thank you Isaac for this memorable experience!

Our guide Kyle was super friendly but also very knowledgeable and flexible, not hesitating to do extra hours to allow us to see more of the rich Yellowstone wildlife. We could spot bisons, elks, bears, coyotes, but the most memorable is that we could see a pack of wolves hunting ! Fantastic.

We booked the Evening Wildlife Tour with Casanova. Sam was our guide. First, he was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable about pretty much ANYTHING Yellowstone! Trust me, we asked about everything! He knew about all the wildlife and gave us history and biology details that we would have never known without having him as our guide. He even spent more time with us than he needed to helping us navigate our time in Yellowstone. He was such a huge help to us as it was our first time visiting Yellowstone. Also, he is very skilled at spotting wildlife while on the tour. He was able to spot and point out wildlife we would have missed if he wasn’t our guide. We saw several black bears, elk, a young moose, plenty of pronghorns and bison, and mountain goats (momma and her baby). We also saw a grey wolf and a coyote actively hunting with a badger!!! An unbelievable sight to see! (My favorite of the day) Sam even gave us knowledge of different types of birds in the park while on the tour. The tour was on time, everyone I interacted with at Casanova was overly nice and helpful. I spoke with the owner on the phone the morning of the tour and she helped us with directions driving in and very responsive. They really went above and beyond to make our time at Yellowstone great. I HIGHLY recommend Casanova Guided Tours and will definitely book again!
