Oldest Wooden School House

(Pass by)

Our tour starts here. You'll hear the story of the hold house and it's ghosts. Originally built in 1716 this is the oldest surviving wooden building in St. Augustine and has seen its fair share of history. Over the centuries its walls have been the barracks for British soldiers, a school for the youth of and the home of Juan Genopoly, a leader of the Minorcans. And their ghosts have decided to stick around. We do not go inside, it's only on the outside we tell our story.

City Gate Spirits

The old city gates of St. Augustine were built in 1808 replacing the deteriorating wooden structure. Standing 3 stories high they are a popular tourist attraction. Over the centuries the old gates have kept the inhabitants of the city safe from invasion. And local legend has it they are haunted by the soul of 10-year-old Elizabeth.

Huguenot Cemetery

In 1821 when the yellow fever hit St. Augustine it killed over 400 of its residents. At the time that was more than one third of its population. In a haste the local government buried the rotting corpses of the Huguenot’s in a mass grave. You'll hear the story of the haunted burial ground and the spirits that now lurk it's grounds.

Potter's Wax Museum

(Pass by)

Potter’s Wax Museum was the first wax museum in America established in 1948 and houses 160 plus creepy wax sculptures. Many of characters have long passed. The wooden building it’s housed in was built in 1739 and moved to this location in 1887. Before it was a wax museum it was a pharmacy, and said to be the oldest pharmacy in the US. And it's haunted!

Tolomato Cemetery

The Tolomato cemetery is the oldest burial ground in Florida dating back to the 1700’s and today it’s the final resting place to bishops, slaves, murders and over 1000 bodies lay interned in its soil. You'll hear the story of the boy that haunts it's grounds and see his headstone. To note, we do not go in the cemetery, we are only at the gate.

The Old Powder House Inn Bed and Breakfast

In the 1700’s this spot was home to the Spanish Gunpowder and ammunitions warehouse. Over the years the building has been a boarding house, a grocery store and most recently a charming bed and breakfast, haunted by the sweetest of ghosts. Today it's haunted by the sweetest of spirits. They are dying to meet you!

Scarlett O'Hara's

In 1870 this building was built by a Mr. George Colee for Marion, his fiancée who he planned to live with for eternity. You'll learn about Mr. Colee and where he now haunts.

Prince Murat House

Said to be haunted by the meanest of old ladies this spirit is sure to spook anyone that walks by.

Agustin Inn Bed and Breakfast

(Pass by)

The tour was fun, Nice to do at your own pace. The only issue was the fact that you get lost and turned around Way too easily. With that being said once you come across another area you wernt looking for the tour changes and starts talking about that location instead of the one you were headed to. So things got a tad confusing, but overall it was a nice tour just gotta pay attention better to certain streets really closely!

Great self-guided tour. After our guided ghost was canceled on us, we were bummed. Then we found this tour and enjoyed doing it at our own pace. So glad are original tour got canceled

I like how he the tour guide felt like he was really with us walking around. I also liked how he said to look up and see a ghost in the window and it was a mannequin. I like the story about the boy named James

I really liked the idea of not traveling in a group and the tickets are inexpensive. We went out around 10 p.m. to start our tour and it was bright and noisy. All of the drunken noise and loud music kind of ruined the "spooky mood" but thats not the tour's fault. Some of the stories were not very interesting or detailed at all. The tour did give us the idea of booking a room at one of the haunted inns and it was still cool walking the town at night at our own pace.

We have been coming to St. Augustine for years and done every tour there is and this ranks right there with all of them. Fun, informative, at your own pace and time, and completely inexpensive. Planning on using this again. Thanks for putting this together.

WalknTours app kept closing. We downloaded the tour and when we went To open it the app crashes. We paid for the tour but never got to use it.

The cemetery stories especially the solo grave of the child near the oak tree; the length of the tour was so manageable especially in the Florida heat; the clarity of the directions; the pleasant timbre of the narrator's voice.

Make sure you have head phones because of the crowds! This was a nice little adventure and enjoyable because we could go at our own pace and not have to travel with a crowd. I wish the stories could have been more in depth!

This experience was fun and nice to be able to go about it at your own pace. We did this experience prior to a guided tour which was great because we got to see area that we did not see during the guided tour.

This was extremely fun! I enjoyed that it was very freeing. I could pause and play the guide at any time. It was loads of fun for a great price! Would do another one of these again.
