Decided to go to the zoo on a solo day. It was a beautiful zoo. The day I went had a lot of school kids that seemed to be doing field trips so sometimes it was difficult to get up close and see things. The animals were not very active on this day. Lots of great exhibits.

a lot of walking but so many cool animals, but a lot of the animals were hidden and or sleeping so we really couldn’t see them. we went inside the butterfly area and was so amazing to see so many butterflies flying around . definitely would go back

I was very excited taking our youngest grandkids as were they.. we have been several times thru the years. It has been probably 13 years since last visit. I was very disappointed in the whole experience. It felt very run down. From the animal’s habitats to the landscape. My granddaughter was excited to see the hippos…. Unable to see them due to water and glass very dirty. I think for the amount of money we paid it would have been a lot cleaner.

Beautiful zoo. Many unusual animals. Lots of hands on exhibits. Friendly staff. Well planned out. Love all of the experiences.

I had the CityPass and had 1 last attraction left to visit for my trip, so I decided the Zoo would be the best bang for my buck, considering tickets are $36 normally. I felt like the map was very helpful with getting around. Liked seeing the animals. Although, there were many empty enclosures and/or animals sleeping or laying around in an unseen area. That was a little bit of a downer. Other than that, there are LOTS of birds. I would’ve liked to have seen more marine animals (I know this isn’t an aquarium but those are my fav animals). The Savanna and the Congo are “coming soon” areas that I think will be super cool. I will have to visit again when those are built. I visited late in the afternoon (around 3:30PM, they close at 5). It seems almost all the food places were either already closed when I got there or closed by 4:30PM, I wasn’t bothered by it - since I wasn’t planning on eating - but just letting people know. Also, all of the “experiences” seemed to have been closed. Like feeding giraffes, kangaroo crossing, etc. not sure what time those end or if they had been closed the whole day.

They have done alot to make this place a better zoo. I went like 17 years ago and was not impressed and went back this weekend and was pleasantly surprised and they are still building more. Lots of animals, lots of indoor animal rooms, lots for the kids to explore and play on. Fun animal talks. Only thing I will complain about is the food. Is sub par, costs more then it should, and takes forever to get, even if you pre order

Tickets were discounted from buying at the zoo, which is a plus. Zoo here is pretty good - feeding giraffes was a highlight.

I think zoos can be ethical but I don't think this one meets that standard, even though I think they have the capability to be. They had cool animals but pretty sad to see the animals in their tiny boxes. It's not like they don't have the space to properly house the animals. They really need to cut down the number of enclosures so that the ones they do have are humanely sized. There was even about 4 different flamingo exhibits and three of them were absolutely tiny, why do you need so many flamingoes when you dont have the space. I think at least 90% of the birds need to go. They have nowhere to fly. Unless they were absolutely tiny birds most the cages were only about 3-5 times the size of their wingspan. The bears were in a space no bigger than my apartment with pretty well no vegetation or enrichment. Just lying on rock only the only patch of shade in their exhibit. Same with a lot of the wild cats and fossa. Some of the exhibits could maybe pass as humane (like the giraffes and rhinos), but this zoo needs to seriously increase the size of their enclosures and add a lot more vegetation, natural ground (i.e. dirt not just concrete or rock), and enrichment, including more than just one animal in certain enclosures. Like, why was the warthog alone. Their pretty social animals. Overall just a lot of feeling bad for the animals living desolate, boring, lonely cramped lives, their entire lives. It was a bit of a bummer.

We loved feeding the giraffes, feeding the lories, walking among butterflies and the 4D experience. The layout of the park is beautiful. We felt a little rushed through the giraffe feeding.

The price to get into this zoo is ridiculous. What about all the kids in the area who want to experience the attractions but can't afford the price of a small car payment for their family of four to go?? Other cities have their zoo for free admission. Our zoo is OUTRAGEOUS! Plus I'd rather have less admission fee than tall statues of animals that I am sure cost a fortune to "decorate" the zoo when people are there to see REAL animals.
