Please arrive at the Sea Paradise Van located at Keauhou Bay 15 minutes prior to departure. Parking is available along Kaleiopapa Street, and it will be just a short 5-minute walk to the pier. Our tour lasts a total of 90 minutes, with approximately 45 minutes dedicated to snorkeling. Fun guides who made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed, while making sure everyone was in safe hands from start to finish. Comfortable and clean catamaran to bring us to the Manta Ray Village. Knowledgeable guides who explained everything we needed to know about Manta rays throughout the snorkeling experience. A minor point: It would be helpful to have a sign near the pier as Sea Paradise’s catamaran is parked near the end without many lights, so it was a bit hard to find at night.

Nice boat, nice stories, no good wetsuits if you are a slender surfer/swimmer body type. I would have you bring your own wetsuit for the 9pm viewing because planking on the ocean surface with water rushing up your oversized/stretched out wetsuit legs, chest, arms, and neck for 40 minutes will be very frigid. I’ve done 6 hour cold weather dives and apnea trainings that were much more endurable than this snorkel experience because the wetsuit was skin tight as it is designed to be. I did go back and try to get a better suit from the staff with the first one they provided, but it was even worse and staff seemed unconcerned with what I was saying thinking I was some newbie. I live here in Hawaii and expect some relaxed vibes but this was a bit stressful. Only thing keeping me in the water and giving more stars is the majestic manta rays that provide an experience like nowhere else in the world.

Fun, knowledgeable crew who truly have a love for the Mantas! We were impressed with how they handled our kids especially when one wanted to quit early. The team member took time to help him feel more confident and then shared some cool facts with him. Amazing experience, highly recommend!

We were looking forward to this for months and it did not disappoint. The crew was amazing! They kept us entertained, educated us about mantas and most importantly made us feel safe at all times. We took the 6pm snorkel so we also had the bonus of watching the sunset as we were preparing to get into the water. This is a great time slot for those that have concerns about getting in the water after dark. The manta rays started arriving before we were even in place and stayed for the entire time. We had watched videos and read reviews prior to going but nothing prepares you for how magical it is to have manta rays doing barrel rolls within an inch of your face.

I was told this was an absolute must, and my friends did not lie to me! It was magical, and awe inspiring. The crew was professional, informed and passionate. This is also the only tour that requires all their staff to be certified lifeguards which was very comforting for our group. We started seeing rays within minutes of getting into position which, while not the usual was incredible! We saw 5 in total (and our guides knew by name!) I wish they'd sold merchandise- I'd have totally bought it. They were supportive of the people who were less confident and those who were super excited. Would recommend!

From beginning to end, the experience was well organized with friendly, knowledgeable and helpful crew. We did the 2nd trip (9pm) and were fortunate to be with only 6 other people (total of 10 us). The catamaran was beautiful, the wetsuits in great condition, mask and snorkel clean (even had prescription mask for my husband), the process straightforward and the experience was amazing! We saw 7 manta rays all at the same time (apparently there are not usually more than 2 or 3) and they did belly-rolls almost against us, wide-mouth feeding so close that we could see down into their cavity. Matt was knowledgeable and shared so many interesting things. You have to hang on to a raft in a ‘flying Superman position’ which did become a strain on the arms/joints after the first 30 minutes (so keep that in mind if you have shoulder/rotator cuff injuries). If you have a Go-Pro, we advise you to either do it on a chest harness or head strap - too difficult to hold onto phone and raft (you can’t let phone dangle in water), especially when current picks up. The catamaran takes you just outside the mouth of their harbor, so not far to travel. We would definitely do this again - no hesitation!

Very exciting experience! The mantas come within inches of you. The crew is very skilled, kind and's knowledgeable. Follow the directions link to the second docking area that is down the dark ally behind the buildings on the first docking area. We weren’t able to get good pictures using our Go Pro because of the reflections from the lights that attract the plankton for the mantas to eat. Maybe a filter of some sort would help?
