This is the only day of the week you can actually go inside the many churches downtown Charleston. They were breathtakingly beautiful! Our guide, LeAnne was amazing and shared so much history with us! Total thumbs up!! Don’t pass on this one:)

Being from Atlanta, my wife and I have been going to Charleston and the surrounding area for years. We’ve done weekend and week-long trips. We’ve done a ton of tours over those years, including horse carriages, buses, walking, biking, plantations, and boats. There is still so much to see and do there. Our tour guide, Leanne, knew the area extremely well including the surrounding islands, history, restaurants, schools, colleges, and neighborhoods. We even met some of the locals that she knew while walking around. The Church Walking Tour was a first for us and it really got you thinking what life was like and how it all started hundreds of years ago in this country that we live in. You not only see, hear, touch, and feel the history around you see the current Charleston and Leanne can tell and show you the rest of the area. While Charleston is her specialty now, we learned she has done kayaking tours in Bar Har, Maine, train tours in Denali, Alaska, and ski resorts in Park City, Utah. When you are done enjoying Charleston, she can recommend your next adventure beyond the Low Country.
