We got our tickets when we got to the place. The veteran / military discount was not much. Given the place is a national WW2 museum it would have been great to see veterans get half off or in free. We loved the museum. It is filled with interesting stories, actual articles and exhibits, and facts. The museum is self paced you can spend just a couple of hours of an entire day. This is a large museum with plenty of staff and help. They have a cafeteria as well.

Well-arranged museum with excellent exhibits and a very good 60-minute movie that captures the essence of history. Honors to the Greatest Generation!

This place is amazing!! Learned step by step what happened from World War I to Ii and why! My husbands father landed at Omaha Beach (the HELL) as one solider described it, and survived. This museum will open your eyes to what freedom we have compared to being under Hitler’s realm. Thank you military personal that have kept us free! If you are in NOLA GO! You won’t regret it.

Give the museum curators a raise. It was exceptionally and meticulously curated with many specialized exhibits. There was so much to see, read, listen to, and watch. There were also a number of interactive exhibits. The only cons, food and or snacks were centralized and difficult to get to or find from the other buildings. It was also a bit confusing to navigate, but volunteers were plentiful and always around to help point you in the right direction. Give yourself 4+ hrs if you're looking to conquer the majority of the museum. I went during the week, thinking less crowds. I don't think it mattered. There were many school groups and elderly about.

Fascinating and well presented. So educational. Loved the movies and the personal memories . Would love to extend visit to other exhibits

The audio visual is off the charts. Covers WWII from every angle. Could have spent the entire day. Great for all ages.

Such a great walk through history. Loved the interactive components as this is a massive museum. Next trip I will be planning for two days as there was way too much to do and see for one day.

Beautiful museum. I wish I would have paid more attention in school. So glad we learned some things we didn’t know about WWII. We spent over 3 hours there and didn’t get to see everything. Wish we had gone earlier. Well done experience. I would recommend.

Very detailed and well curated exhibition. A must see in New Orleans. Make sure you have plenty of time, minimum 2.5 hours, to experience the WWII Museum.

Not much more to say about this outstanding museum that hasn't already been said, but it's definitely a "must see" if you are in New Orleans. You could easily spend more than a day here, but since most people only go for one day, I advise seeing the "Road to Tokyo" and "Road to Berlin" exhibits, plus the Liberation Pavilion if you have time. There is a 45-minute movie narrated by Tom Hanks that a lot of people (including myself) see (it costs extra), but honestly I could have skipped it; I didn't find it that interesting and would have preferred to use the time on other exhibits. Get there early and plan to spend the entire day if you can. Warning: Bring some food, water, and snacks, because the onsite restaurants usually have long wait lines (it was 45 minutes when I was there on a weekday.)
