We had an amazing time walking around Flushing, guided by Esneider. He was of course knowledgeable about everything we ate and saw, but was also just a wonderful person to talk to. The food was amazing, the company better. Thanks for making my 26th birthday an excellent one!

We enjoyed the experience so much, we tried so many different foods that I couldn’t eat a another thing. So many Different tastes and aromas. Esnaider is a very knowledgeable guide, he brought us to all these little places, people were very happy to see us come in. I will tell my friends to put it on their radar and experience it.

For 'real' foodies who are looking for a food tour in NYC, those of Culinary Backstreets are the ones you want to do. Queens is a borough to be discovered, and the tour guides are among the most knowledgeable you can get. You will not be disappointed.

This was my 8th tour with Culinary Backstreets and they didn’t disappoint! Sierra was our guide. They were super knowledgeable about the neighborhood and the food and incredibly friendly and accommodating. So much great Chinese food; veg, non-veg, Taiwanese, Uyghur, Hong Kongese. You won’t leave hungry. I also appreciated the non-culinary history covered.

Sierra was an incredible tour guide!! We made the most of the tour in the pouring rain, and we were able to experience both the breadth of food and the vibrancy of the Queens community even in the rain. There was SO MUCH delicious food!! Also, it was great that everyone's dietary preferences were accounted for without changing the experience for people without any restrictions. It was a really fun and memorable day, and we can't wait to do another tour with Culinary Backstreets/Sierra!!

Sierra was our tour guide and doesn’t almost 6 hours giving our family of 5 (3 kids at ages 9,12, and 14) a unique, tasty experience. My kids were sad it was finished. We love Asian food and tasted both new types of food and some of our favorites. There was a perfect amount of waking and sitting throughout the day and Sierra accommodated whatever we needed. Their knowledge and expertise of both the cuisine and culture of China, Taiwan, and Flushimg itself was amazing. We would do this again.

Sierra was our guide and they were amazing. We had a 9 yo boy, 12 yo boy with ADHD, and 14 yo girl and she kept them all engaged and excited about food. We had plenty of food, and there was a good mix of walking and sitting. The food was amazing and showed a diverse array of regions and types of cuisine. We also learned a lot of history about Flushing. We would definitely do another tour with Sierra or Culinary Backstreets.

Really an excellent way to spend a day. The food selections were delicious and interesting. It was well paced with short walks between bites. The tour it included historical information about the neighborhood which helped us appreciate the area more fully. The guide Esneider was the best!

I had an amazing experience on this tour. Sierra is an amazing guide, very knowledgeable and prepared for anything. Even as a native New Yorker I felt transported and loved learning about a different part of the city.

I always wanted to explore the amazing Chinatown in Queens, but its sheer size and variety made it intimidating for this out-of-town visitor. However, visiting it with Sierra from Culinary Backstreets made it fun and stress-free. My college-aged son and I made a weekend trip to NYC to explore the diversity of cuisines and cultures in Queens and were not disappointed. Sierra not only brought us to carefully curated places to eat, but chose dishes that showed the different regions and waves of Asian immigrants that settled in the area. Learning about the history of Flushing and its changing population was a great addition to the wonderful food. As to the food, not only was it delicious, but there was plenty of it- you will NOT walk away hungry! Fortunately, there is enough walking between bites to digest a bit, but you'll want to pace yourself. A fabulous introduction to the Flushing Chinatown in Queens.
