This is a third party that takes you to the kennel in an RV. The tour itself was awesome. The owner, dogs and sled ride were great. It’s a chain free kennel and the dogs are well taken care of. Excellent tour!

Unbelievable!!!! This was, by far, one of the coolest experiences I've had. The pups were amazing and the family who owed the kennel were beyond fantastic. The only unfortunate thing was that now I want 78 malamutes of my own lol. I will be going back!

The actual ride was great Also learning about the malamute dog breed, and the owner. Once at the location you felt welcome and they were glad to have you.

I booked this experience 3 days before the date, but I had a bad feeling about it when I messaged the company twice over the following days to ask them to confirm the drop-off time and they didn't get back to me. They also didn't confirm ahead of time, which most of the other tour companies did. So the day arrives, and I am sat waiting for pickup in my hotel - 10 minutes late, 20 minutes late, 30 minutes late .... so I contacted Viator Support who could not get in touch with them. The number they had for this 'company' was ringing out, which is what happened to me also when I tried to call them. Eventually, Viator confirmed that they had requested a refund. That was it - no explanation, no apology, and the very last day of my holiday was totally ruined, and my day was completely wasted. On doing some research, I believe this company to actually be a SCAM. Please avoid at all costs, do not book with them. They will take your money and waste your time. SCAM.

The dogs were adorable and the guide was nice. We got a lot of chances to take pictures and interact with the dogs.

It was fun learning about the history of the dogs, and they were very accommodating taking lots of pictures of us with the dogs, and even caught a video when we were coming back from our ride

This is the TRUE Dog Sledding Experience ! Many Dog Sledding companies use dogs who are bred with hounds and they aren’t the “original” dogs used for sledding in Alaska. The Dogs are beautiful, the tour guides are helpful and I had a great time. Would do this again - Also, the owners are champion dogsledders!

We had a wonderful visit to Firewalker Kennels! It is wonderful to see a kennel with no chains, families together and retirees still being cared for. The warming cabin was great to keep warm while we waited for our ride and the ride was magical!

Norma_H
