This is our 3rd visit to Mr. Gregory's! It is always a little bit different and always SO SO special. Set up with long tables, which invite you to make friends with your seatmates, there is incredible food and lively entertainment. On this night, members of the Slick Skillet Serenaders performed. Mr. Gregory's right hand man, Bill, who has been with him for years, runs around, serving and filling all our needs! Along with his Shrimp Boil, Mr. Gregory serves up fascinating local history and what he calls "tastings". They are always unique and delicious. This time, we were served a shrimp and crab au gratin appetizer and a surprise of fresh, huge crawfish! What a treat as crawfish have been scarce and tiny this year! Then came the Shrimp Boil!! Gigantic shrimp brought to the surface by the big rain storm the previous day, mixed with vegetables and giant sausages!! SO good!! For dessert, we had an apple cake with a type of fresh whipped cream gently flavored on top. I cannot say enough about this wonderful experience!! Mr. Gregory clearly takes pride in what he serves and loves to share it with you. On your next trip to New Orleans, or even if you are a local, be sure to go see Mr. Gregory!! Reservations required!!

This was such a fun experience! It was a casual and intimate gathering, there were 12 people total. This was better than eating out at a restaurant. Our host Gregory was entertaining and informative. He is full of local stories and history. Bill was a responsive and helpful server. And the entertainment, Slick Skillet Serenaders, were funny and musical performers. We had an enjoyable, hands-on feast of large local shrimp, crayfish, blue crab and shrimp gratin appetizer, alligator sausage soup, and peach/pear cake for dessert. Highly recommend!

The most amazing unique experience from beginning to end… Local talent… Mr Gregory is the epitome of southern charm… The food is varied in the small app samples & are so perfect and then generous with delicious big shrimp and the boil vegetables… I would go every weekend if I could… It is in the quarter. Basically do not miss it. If you have a chance to you will not forget it. It is quaint and perfect … We were lucky enough to see Amber Martin, who is a world, renowned comedian, and chanteuse. … Had us in stitches and tears

Best food in New Orleans! Had a few tastings at the beginning - all delicious. Then the main event. The food was cooked to perfection and plentiful. And the bread pudding at the end was to die for. Add in the entertaining show, and it was a perfect evening. Highly recommend!!

We had a delightful evening at Mr Gregory’s Shrimp Boil and Cabaret. The food was a delicious taste of real NOLA home style cooking. Every bite brought yummy to the tummy! From the crawdads, to the alligator, to the shrimp and jambalaya the quality, quantity and presentation were top tier! Then to make the evening even better there was the awesome entertainment! A 10 out of 10!

The event suggests you go to the Grand Pre's for a drink before the dinner. I got a whiskey for a great price with a local feel. The host and chef were accommodating. You will not leave hungry. They told us about our food, where it came from. This is a casual venue. We were treated with special enterprise as a friend was in town. Amber Martin was an excellent entertainer. I trust his choice. Great food, great ambience and friendly hosts.

This was the best experience we had in NOLA. Very authentic. Entertainers were unique, genuine and talented. Host shared history, sources of the food served, and local families supported. Had additional food offerings, which were all excellent. Was all very genuine. Would recommend and attend again. Tip - consider brining your own bottle of wine to dinner.

The host was passionate about his food offerings. Shared history and reasons for the selections that he served, paired that with some very entertaining singers. Truly an event to share with your loved ones and Friends.
