Will was a great guide, patient to teach us and worked hard to get us fish. Beautiful day and great experience even thought it was early in the season.

I didn't catch any fish and had no bait after 10 minutes they didn't help me catch anything they even almost left me out on the lake alone I will never come back to their business the are terrible at having fun.

I normally would not take a guided trip for Rainbows on Willow Creek as I am a local and would walk in. However I had an overseas visitor and decided to do the full day float. Boy was that a great idea. The raft gave great access and made it easy to fish every pool we wanted. Our guide James Bartholomew was very knowledgeable, helpful, and good natured and the result was about 6 hours on the river regularly hooking and landing 14 to 24” Rainbows. As far as I am concerned, it was perfect fall Rainbow fishing which is just what we were looking for.

Only thing that would’ve made it better is catching a fish— was late in the season (September) and rain had been intense (3900), so waters HARSH! Otherwise, Blake was a very patient guide, provided us with all the gear and guidance we could ask for. Quite therapeutic! #MendTheLine

Great experience with our guide yesterday. The hike to the river is a little tough but worth it. We did the 4 hour excursion and we’re able to learn the basics and catch some fish.

My best friend flew up to visit this past week and wanted to try his hand at fly fishing here in Alaska. I’m awful with a fly rod, but I knew the guys at Fishhound could get us out on the water for an awesome trip and man did they deliver. It’s hardly been two days since we floated the Willow with Dan and my buddy is already asking about planning another trip with them next year. Speaking as a local, Alaskan resident if you’re looking for a world class fly fishing experience, I don’t think you can go much better than a trip with Fishhound Expeditions.

I’m not sure if I can describe what an amazing day we had with Captain James. This was one girlfriends first time fly fishing and I have only been twice myself. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient with both of us. His attitude and personality was second to none and he added to the amazing experience. If you are considering fishing in or near Anchorage I couldn’t recommend this outfit any more. I would rate them as 11 out of 10 stars.

Guides were great, my kids had a great time, except my son which filled his waders when he tipped over. Didn't know in advance it was only catch and release which is not a big deal if you catch tons of fish, but we only caught 1. But still was fun, a new experience, lunch was good, worth the trip.

This was such a great way to experience an integral part of Alaska’s wilderness. Dan took care of all the details while also educating us on the basics so that we can hopefully try fly fishing more independently next time.

Adam took my wife and I out for a full day drift. My wife's first time fly fishing. Adam was an excellent instructor, great communicator and a top shelf guide. I've never been Trout fishing with this much consistent action and quality fish caught. Even caught my first Arctic Grayling. We are looking into a multi-day fly-in trip with Adam in the future. Highly recommend!!
