Beluga Point

Beluga Point is south of Anchorage on the Seward Highway. This is a rocky outpost where you can get out an safely explore the area. It is also a place to view Beluga Whale from Mid July through August when Salmon are running. Drive time and spend 15 minutes here

Seward Highway

Stopping at Mile post 91 - This is another stop on the highway to see majestic views of the water, mountains, waterfalls, and wildlife. Turnagain Arm is one of the few places in the world to see a bore tide. The bore tide can be up to 24 miles per hour and is a beautiful and majestic sight to see. The bore tide comes twice per day and can be visible from Mile post 91. Mile 91 is also close to Girdwood Alaska and has several glaciers within view.

Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center

The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is a sanctuary dedicated to preserving Alaska’s wildlife through conservation, education, research, and quality animal care. AWCC takes in injured and orphaned animals year-round and provides them with spacious enclosures and quality animal care. Most of the animals that arrive at the AWCC become permanent residents and will always have a home there. We spend 45 minutes here. Includes the drive time.
