ATL has changed so much in the past 10 years; adding new gates, expanding the airport, and its ability to service millions of people very efficiently from around the world. Even on the worst days of travel, they are great. Recently, my Wife and I were traveling on holiday from Bogota to Chicago. Upon landing, we realized there was a huge problem in immigration due to many flights coming in at the same time from international destinations. As a result, there were at least 1200 people in the Immigration checkpoint, waiting to get processed and go to their connecting flights. One man was handling the influx of people. I wish I could have gotten his name to tell the airport how great a job he did, but in the rush to get where we were all going, I was unable to ask him. He was able to get everything organized last second so as many people as possible could make their connecting flights. But it was not just him. There were many others from immigration all working together to get things in order off the top of their heads as the man we first encountered did. The great attitude and dedication of people there, their ability to work under enormous pressure and get the job done well, is impressive. ATL Jackson has come a long way from how they were 10 years ago with things being very confusing in terms of how to get where you are going (use of the train, where to find information on any gate or flight changes (not enough spaces in the airport terminals have monitors showing this information). Now, nearly all of this is far better with much better organization, signage, and plenty of helpful people around to guide you if you get lost. What used to be an airport I would avoid is now one of the airports I prefer to use because of the great, kind people of Georgia, the organization, dedication, and hard work put in by everyone there.

The security line for this airport is dysfunctional and truly a bottle neck where all the gates pass through one security line. No AC No Guidance just pure madness.

Worst airport in the US! ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS a delay with Delta. They do not check their aircraft before boarding, make people sit on a plane for over an hour only to deplane and switch gates, and then not depart for another couple of hours. It is the worst airport I have ever flown through, LaGuardia and O’Hare are even better than this mess of an airport. Their operations needs some serious work. And so does Delta! I will avoid connecting through ATL Hartfield Jackson Airport at all costs! So should you! 1 star and 5 thumbs down!!! Awful!!

Quoted as being "the busiest airport in the world " well it may be but it is also the worst run and understaffed airport in the world. We waited over 2 hours to get through the TSA check, missing our flight in the process, 4 staff manning 40 check in desks, laughable!! Then to top it all off they then managed to " forget" to put our baggage onto the plane to Heathrow, AFTER we were assured by staff that they would meet us at our destination. Most staff look like they don't want to be there, what few of them there is! I'll be avoiding this airport as much as possible in the future .

Hartsfield -Jackson is one of the busiest airports in the world, but I found the connections within the airport to be lacking. My flight arrived at the International terminal. I needed to get to the MARTA station, which is in the domestic terminal. There might have been a better way to get there, but I was directed by the information desk to take the shuttle bus to the domestic terminal. I found the line and there were about 50 people and their luggage in front of me. It took almost 30 minutes to get on one of the small shuttle buses to the domestic terminal. It would be nice if there was a rail connection between the terminals, or at the very least, bigger shuttle buses.

Since I moved to Atlanta in 2020, I have regularly used ATL for business and personal travel. However, this airport is a dump; the food and beverage services suck horrible. For example, they open late and close by 9 pm; if you are taking a late flight or doing a layover, have food and water with you. After 9 pm there is nothing you can do if you get hungry. I think this airport staff needs customer service food and beverage training ASAP. Poor management and lack of customer service make this airport one of the most unfriendly airports in the USA.

I have been flying through ATL for almost 30 years now and will continue to do so. In recent years it seems the airport is declining in some areas. I love the exhibits the airport has when walking in between concourses. Covid covid covid, that is the excuse I hear for everything when something is not up to par. Food at the airport is not always the best and everyone should know that. But the interactions between workers like popeyes and customers are not on nice terms from what I have seen on my last trip. Customer service is out the window when ordering food. It is already hard to hear anyone talk with masks on but not paying attention to the customers while they order and then snap at them loudly because they cannot understand what was ordered. Restrooms on multiple concourses were dirty. I totally understand that more than 10K people go through ATL daily. Rust stains and other trash on the floor is what you get greeted with. I will still fly through ATL, it is still one of my favorite Airports in the US but I do hope some of the customer friendliness returns.

Food outlets poor, no restaurants open only fast food, poor experience can’t wait to leave. Airports have a a great opportunity to sell to the passengers, this is a major international hub!!!

7:30 AM in busiest airport in country - no eateries open. Unacceptable! Terminal C has vending machines and a Starbucks open with line extending a couple gates.

Due to airline issues - missed flight, and arrived at the airport early in the morning. It took over an hour for bags to reach baggage claim. Since, our next flight was not until the am - had to camp-out in the airport. This is the worst airport I have ever been in, and I have traveled the world. Homeless people everywhere. No police or security anywhere. Even bathroom stall has a homeless person in it. The closed restaurants had homeless people sleeping at tables. There were no lounge area in the baggage claim area - since security was closed - to rest on - just a big empty area where chairs used to be - pre-covid, but we were told they took them out because of construction. The was no sign of any construction. We asked someone else, and they said they took them out because of the homeless people. So you have homeless people in the airport, and you make it hard on the passengers, and don't police the airport. Major health and safety issue. No police anywhere from 3am - 7am. This review is for Hartsfield International Airport - shame on you for not caring.
