What a fabulously fun tour with Star! This was a surprise birthday weekend for my husband with the food tour & a night at the Marquis, which was perfectly located to the start & end of the tour. She was so enthusiastic about our great city of Houston and super knowledgeable about the architecture, culture & cuisine it has to offer. We were also paired with such an amazing family group, so it made our tour even that much better! The food & cocktails were delicious! Our favorites were definitely the Rustic tamales & margaritas and the Brasserie Du Parc's crepe & surprise, signature lychee cocktail for dessert. We loved it so much, we went to the Rustic's amazing brunch the next morning (peek at their website for details). We had reservations at Brasserie, but we changed our minds to the Rustic only based on our cuisine mood at the moment but will definitely be back for Brasserie in the near future!

Had an absolutely great time on this tour! I learned a lot about the Historic Market Square area of Houston and local businesses (one of my favorite spots already)! We had our fill of yummy cocktails and food. I would love to do it again and want to try any tour led by Star / Best Bites Houston. Whether you want to be a tourist in your own city for a day and learn something new or are visiting from out of town, I definitely recommend to anyone.

Had the pleasure of going on this tour with Star. She provided so much knowledge about downtown and delivered it in a way that keeps you captivated and intrigued. I left the tour nice and full and feeling good from the cocktails. Overall, 100% recommend. Don't miss out on this one.

I highly recommend this tour for both out-of-towners and locals.We live in the Montrose area and learned of this tour through Houston Insiders organization. Star greeted us at Market Square and immediately connected with all of us. She is an interesting person even without sharing the history of Houston and plying us all with excellent craft cocktails and light bites at each stop! Dress for the weather and come hungry!

This tour was incredible. Just enough bites, just enough booze, and you get to learn something along the way! Star, our guide, was fantastic. You can feel the passion she has for the city and its history, and she goes out of her way to make sure everyone is having a great time. Not enough can be said about the amazing food and drinks! I recently went on the historic district craft cocktail tour and I had SOO much fun!! The tour guide does her absolute best to make sure you are fed, drinking and informed(just the right amount!!) about the diversity of our city, the culture, the people and of course the FOOD! I can definitely say I felt like a tourist in my own city. Whether you are going on this tour with your significant other, having a girls night out or just a night out with friends this is the perfect way to just SHOW up and have some fun!! The tour guide is full of passion and her lively energy travels through the group. Going on this tour made me realize there are so many cool restaurants and coffee shops in Houston with different stories of their own. I can’t wait to go back to some of my favorite stops. I did the cocktail tour last weekend (it included food!). Star is such a great tour guide, she is very knowledgeable of the history of downtown Houston! I’ve been living here for 7 years and never knew many of the things she told us. She selects different bars with completely different vibes, a taste for everyone. It was wonderful to have her select some great spots in historic downtown Houston, we went to places I’ve never been to. The overall experience was wonderful, you get to meet people, the host is a wonderful person with so much energy and the food/drinks are exceptional.
