We did the Lady Bird bike trail tour with Mike and it was an amazing way to get introduced to Austin and a really fun few hours. We met Mike close to the Barton Springs Pool and proceeded to cycle an 8 mile loop that took us all around Lady Bird Lake without ever having to get on the road with cars. You got a real good sense of the Downtown area and several landmark buildings. Mike is super knowledgeable and as a useless information connoisseur myself, I put Mike's talents to the test and he didn't disappoint. He's also incredibly funny. He's local, been in Austin for 30 years and gives you the real picture of Austin, past and present. I couldn't recommend this tour with Mike enough. A couple of things I would suggest is go earlier in the day. It was very, very pleasant when we were there in Sept but it gets HOT as the day goes on. Bring a bottle of water with a sport top...Comes in handy.

Mike's Bikes was a great way for us to see Austin! Our guide, Mike, was easy going, funny and full of information about Austin, the state of Texas, the region, outside the region, the people here... The water ways, the wildlife. You get my point. My husband and I enjoyed the tour on our 9th anniversary. We wanted to get out and see the city in way we thought might be fun. A bike seemed right and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed the tour and our guide, Mike, very much!

I live in Austin and took my friend (who is visiting) on this bike tour. We went over the highlights of the green space at the heart of the city. The pool, the track, the shade, and the animals, all make me want to come back regularly later on. Probably not the most impressive thing to see for a tourist, but definitely a full pack of "must-go" facilities for residents.

Great guide, easy and relaxed. Beautiful route. So glad we did this. A lot to see, good overview. I would recommend. Thanks!

We were instructed to arrive 10 minutes early to the meeting spot but nobody was there yet so we thought we were lost but after calling Mike he apologized and said he was running late but that we were in the right spot. The entire experience was nearly 2 1/2 hours and Mike was both knowledgeable and spirited during his discussions. This was a uniquely interesting and informative way to learn more about the city of Austin on our first trip here as we've taken other city tours via walking, trolleys, and buses but never biking. We enjoyed the opportunity to get some exercise while feeling the breeze and making some stops in between to soak in some facts.

This was our first trip to Austin and Mike was great!. It was in early May and the first heat wave of the summer occurred that weekend. We were able to get out early on the 10am ride and avoid the hotter part of the day. Mike carried extra cold water bottles which was necessary in that heat. Mike gave a great tour with lots of local details and through in his own humor. We had a great time. We highly recommend this tour, it was fun and enjoyable ride.

We had a very enjoyable two hour ride with Mike, who showed us around the parks and recreation areas of central Austin. We stopped often to take pictures and listen to Mike tell us interesting tidbits about each park and view of the City. Mike is knowledgeable about Austin and its recreation areas and he's also very friendly. The pace was perfect - not too fast, not too slow. I would recommend. (Thanks Mike!)

As far as bike tours go, this is the real deal! Mike not only provides a wonderful session of exercise, but knows Austin like the back of his hand. He is full of interesting and pertinent facts and details about the city and it's history. One learns more on this tour than you would had you lived here for an extended period. He can also point you in the right direction and make excellent suggestions for other interests and activities you may be pondering. An interesting dude with knowledge of the city like the back of his hand.
