Really great tour from Chester to the Lake District, it was made even better by our driver Lee (the safest driver around) who was really funny and kept us entertained the whole day. Highly recommend

With the exception of the stop at the National park, this was a disappointment from start to finish. It began with the tour leaving 1 hour late due to waiting for passengers that were not cruise passengers, despite this tour being specifically for cruise passengers. Peter kept telling us to check our tickets, that we were only leaving 30 minutes late. This was not true. My ticket said we would have 2 hours left in port after the tour, because of the late departure, we had about 20 minutes. The stops themselves were also huge let downs. At Conwy they stopped for 1 1/2 hours. Peter told us it would take 30 minutes to see the castle and we would have 1 hour to see the town. We thought that was a good amount of time. Unfortunately, since he has wasted the drive on pointless stories about some crosses we never even saw instead of giving us tips on what there is to actually do, it was an hour wasted. We wandered around with no clue what to do or where to go. We would have loved to have gotten a bucket and let the kids go crabbing, but as mentioned, we had no idea that was an option until it was you late. Later they drove us through the cutest little town with lots of shops and cafes and told us we would have 30 minutes to walk around. Then they kept driving way past the town to the end of it, where the biggest crowds were and no pubs, little food options, and we waited in line the entire 30 minutes just to get our kids an ice cream. Overall, Peter told us lots of stories about himself and the celebrities he has met, and very little about Wales and the things to do at the actual stops we made. We are avid travelers and have done several guided tours similar to this, and this was by far the worst. Total waste of our 1 day in Liverpool.

Our guide was Stuart who is very knowledgeable about the area and happy to share his enthusiasm. We covered quite a large area during the day ending with a boat trip on Windermere. Opportunity for photo stops and walks but, thankfully, those of us less nimble were able to wait on the bus. Stuart kept us entertained throughout the day and I was most impressed with his driving skill. How he got the bus through the steep and narrow roads was a wonder to behold. Not only did Stuart make sure we had a comfortable ride but he showed utmost consideration towards other road users. If we are up this way again I would happily book oniof their other tours.
