Our guide Dana Van Tilborg provided us with an interesting and enjoyable introduction to old Albuquerque as well as New Mexico's history. We learned about the area's unique architecture and how the Spanish and indigenous cultures shaped the area. Dana also gave us a great recommendation for a charming New Mexican restaurant for lunch. This tour helped to put in perspective a lot of the sites we later saw in Santa Fe.

The Mezcla de Culturas walking tour was wonderful and Dana was an excellent tour guide - knowledgeable and fun. Highly recommend!

This was our first trip to New Mexico. In addition to reading through the guidebooks that pointed out the highlights, we wanted to learn more about the history, the culture, the architecture, the artwork, the economy and of course, more about Native Americans. Our guide on this two-hour adventure, Dana Van Tilborg, did that and more. When we met Dana, she sat down with us for several minutes to learn more about us and what we wanted to get out of the tour. And she tailored our walk and talk around that. We learned about some of the different periods of architecture. We visited chapels and churches. We learned about the role the railroad played in the development of the town. And so much more. Not to mention tips on where to have lunch and to do some shopping (both in Albuquerque and Santa Fe). This two-hour tour laid the groundwork for a memorable trip to New Mexico, a place we will revisit in the future. We will certainly consider other Heritage Inspirations tours.

We loved our tour with Dana. She has tons of history knowledge and we asked so many questions about history. It was an easy tour for walking but very fulfilling for learning about Albuquerque history. It was 10-12 so we did not have to get up too early and it ended just in time for lunch. Highly recommend!

Our guide, Dana, a historian and teacher, did excellent job conveying complex history of ABQ and NM.

The best part of the tour is provided by Dana's sympathy and knowledge. e of NM history, as well as her capacity to convey the message. In two hours Rosângela and I had a wonderful open door class on this State history, with rich details in an environment full of relaxation and lightness. More than a tour guide, she is a teacher who spare no efforts to teach in rich detail what the landscape in OLD TOWN expresses.

We learned so much and really enjoyed walking and talking with Dana. Her enthusiasm for local history is catching! Great orientation to the whole region, and gave us ideas for future visits.

The walking tour of the old town area was great. Dana, our guide was well prepared and we learned about the history and development of the area and New Mexico. We enjoyed the area and the time spent on the tour.
