This was an awesome experience. Darius is very passionate and knowledgeable. His historic knowledge made the experience come to life. Strongly recommend this tour, especially if Darius is your guide.

We could only view this from the outside as it was closed. My wife was uninspired but I thought it was great. Looks like a spaceship has just landed in middle of NYC.

I didn’t have an experience I showed up and waited for the tour to begin and no tour guide came I couldn’t get in touch at first and finally a half hour later someone called me and told me that they canceled the tour because they weren’t enough people but no one contacted me my friend came into the city to meet me and I traveled five hours to get there. I’m expecting a refund on my credit card and I also ask them for compensation in a financial apology because that was disgraceful.

While visiting the Hudson Yards we came upon "The Vessel". It is an amazing architectural structure! In my opinion the best time to visit is at night when it is illuminated.Be sure to climb all the way up (9 floors) to take in the amazing views of the city, rail road yard and New Jersey. Well worth the time to see.......

Anyone going to Manhattan needs to chill at some point so grab a snack and a coffee from Chelsea Market and go walk this area. Peaceful with views of the East River. Landscape was in winter mode but we can imagine the flowers and shrubbery in bloom. Well worth the hour walk. Personally, I recommend walking south to north only because of the availability of food at the south end.

The Vessel is a unique structure that is easy to navigate. There is a landing on each level, so one can rest, take in the beautiful views of ferry boats on the Hudson River and turn in opposite direction and see skyscrapers including the Empire State Building. The vessel is free- easy to reserve for specific times on line. I went three times and the number of people entering at one time is limited. The courtyard has three dimensional games for kids, e.g. Minecraft. Adjacent to the Vessel is a beautiful shopping center with shops of varying prices! Even if you are not a shopper, one can sightsee, especially at the holiday season. The restaurants are expensive; however, you can buy food for snack or lunch at Citarella and take out. There are delicious places serving coffee and unusual pastries. In addition, it is easily accessible with the #7 train. Take your kids and go!!!

Just visited the new structure/art work/cardio apparatus called The Vessel. It is located at Hudson Yard in NYC and is easily accessible by subway. The cost is free but you do need to get an assigned entrance window time to enter. It is a remarkable pine cone looking structure with numerous stairway accessible levels that have platforms for some incredible interior and exterior views. For those that require, there is also an elevator available to all levels. The new mall right next door is huge, clean, and has all the shopping you need from affordable to high end. A great way to spend a day if you need a break from all the traditional tourist attractions of NYC . Also in the immediate area is the high line walking route and Chelsea market along with the Javitz center. An entire day in NYC could be spent exploring this part of the city.

Tickets are only $10 each on the Hudson Yards website. I walked all the way to the top thinking I could take the elevator down. I was informed by and unsympathetic employee that it's for disabled people only. She asked if I was sick. I was exhausted, but that won't get you a ride 16 floors down.

The area has undoubtedly been radically upgraded and even this side of town became worthy of visitors. It feels more like a decoration of public buildings that feels more familiar in any mega city in Asia.No tourist is sorry that this attraction is free.
