Lovely glacier and wildlife tour. Brittany the park ranger onboard was delightful and a wealth of information about the glaciers and wildlife. We saw humpback whales, mountain goats, thousands of birds and saw a small bit of the glacier fall off.

Outstanding day on the Bravest. Crew was top notch and very approachable. They were knowledgeable and professional. Very smooth cruise!

We saw many glaciers, 3 up close. Two of the glaciers were calving huge slabs of ice. We saw Dall’s porpoises, a sea lion, many sea otters, some holding their babies, bald eagles, and a kittiwake rookery. The interesting narration by Marty, US Forest Service, was excellent, and so were the informative comments by the Captain, Chris. The food was good. The crew was professional, friendly, and helpful. The whole ship was very clean. The guarantee of no seasickness is true! I can’t say enough good things about our experience. Highly recommend.

We did the 26 Glacier Cruise - a tour offered by Phillips Cruises. I highly recommend this iconic-Alaska activity. The boat was very stable! For fun, I counted glaciers and came up with 35. So at the very least I can say we weren't short-changed. We saw birds, sea otters, and humpback whales. There was a park ranger onboard who added a lot via his commentary. Did you know that glaciers move about a foot a day? I didn't! I'm known for having an iron stomach, but the chowder got me; fortunately the bathroom was clean!

This is a must-do if the weather cooperates; the sights and cruise are worthy of anyone's bucket list. Clear or partly cloudy weather is best, so reschedule if it's raining or snowing. Also, if you have a vehicle, driving to Whittier is easy and allows you to stop at other sites along the way (think Potter Marsh Boardwalk, Byron glacier hike, Bore Tide viewpoints, Beluga Point, Alyeska Resort/Girdwood, etc.). We were there during the shoulder season, so booking could be done based on the weather forecast the day before the cruise. AAA discount was equal to the group rates, without having to book in advance. The Bravest boat was clean, comfortable, fast, and staffed with an organized and friendly crew. The onboard National Forest Service docents were a wealth of interesting facts throughout the six hour tour. Breathtaking views of 26+ glaciers, icebergs, bald eagles, harbor seals, Dall porpoises, and rafts of sea otters. Window seats inside are best if you want to stay warm, but outside is comfortable (with appropriate layers) when the boat stops for full-immersion viewing. The included meal was very good, and you can add drinks at the no-host bar if you'd like. There are plenty of restrooms and places to charge your electronics. As amazing as the scenery seemed during the cruise, the scale of the Alaskan wilderness is mind-bending if you're lucky enough to fly out of Anchorage over the Prince William Sound on a clear day; the snowy peaks and glaciers extend to the horizon!

We took this 5.5 hour glacier tour and were not disappointed. The views were beautiful. The day we were scheduled to go we knew it was going to rain so we called the day prior and for $25 we were able to move it out a day which was sunny and warmer. See if you can get a window seat. We were lucky and the boat was only maybe 1/2 full. I think I would have been miserable if the boat had been full. It would have been tough to fight for spots to take photos and we could have been sat in the middle seats of the boat. Know you are seated with others you do not not around a table even at the window seats. The food onboard was good and they have a bar and snacks for purchase. I think the 3.75 hour cruise would have been enough for me, but we did truly enjoy the tour.

The was such a great cruise. The crew were so kind and fun! The lunch was delicious and plentiful. It was amazing how close to the glaciers we were able to get. There was so much scenery and wildlife to see. It was a wonderful day. I recommend it to everyone.

So amazing, worth every penny! The inside of the vessel is very nice, and plenty warm. We did bundle up a bit before going outside during the stops at all the glaciers. A few things of note that might help your trip: -bathrooms are spacious and clean -the tables have usb ports, definitely bring a cord! My phone is fairly new, and it still drained the battery with all the photo/video taking. -they have snacks available for purchase (Pringles, skittles, KitKats, etc). Not terrible pricing either, like $4 or something -cute stuffed animals for purchase too -disposable AND reusable ponchos for sale ($3 and I think $8). There are overhang areas on the outside deck though, so you could stay out of the rain and still go outside. -binoculars for rent, $5. Do it! Very cool seeing everything, especially wildlife that you could barely see without binoculars. -the crew is so friendly and provided so much fascinating commentary -we went on 9/20 and since it’s not the peak season the boat appeared to be at less than half capacity. Made it feel like almost a private tour, and also meant less crowded on the outer decks. Easy to take videos/photos and not have other passengers in them. I’m probably forgetting stuff, but the main point is definitely do this if you can. The picture that’s a circle is a bear through the binoculars.

The crew were attentive, courteous and knowledgeable. The boat was well equipped, well maintained and provided a warm and cozy sanctuary. You could elect to go on deck or stay inside from where you could still observe the glaciers. It was a fantastic tour and our captain provided close range viewing of the fantastic glaciers.

Anthony_V

The glaciers, the serene land and water, the memories, the mountains, the wildlife, seeing God’s work, the crew, (fantastic)! It was so relaxing.
