This tour was great, but check the weather for road closures before purchasing to avoid making the same mistake we did. I had seen this when planning our trip, and bought it ahead of time. The day of our trip to RMNP (mid April), there was still so much snow on the mountains that over half of the trip couldn’t be completed because the roads were closed for snow removal. We made it through about half of the park still (≈4 hours mostly following the guide with some wandering), but unfortunately missed a lot of the “main attraction” spots that are accessible in the summer months. We still had an amazing time and while it snowed a little bit, it cleared up and we were able to do some hiking so don’t let snow completely deter you. Note: if you’re inexperienced in driving in snow like I am, bring someone who knows what they’re doing or wait until summer to come because there are a lot of turns that could easily be fatal if road conditions are bad (AWD is recommended by the park). The perk of coming slightly earlier than summer is that there is drastically less people in the park, and we were able to pull off at any of the picture/ hiking areas with no issues finding a parking spot. Loved this tour though, because it provided you with random tidbits of information at scheduled spots along the gps path, and helped guide us through the park. Rocky Mountain National Park was gorgeous, and I definitely recommend visiting!

We got this self guided tour last minute, and it made our visit to the Rocky Mountain so much better, views were amazing and information given was really interesting!!!

Some of the views were spectacular. We really enjoyed seeing the wildlife. we are from New Orleans so this scenery is really a treat for us. We have been out west before and we loved it This was our first time in Colorado, but we will be back.

Loved the interesting history bits throughout the tour. Lost my tour for a moment and wasn’t sure if I could get it back, but it popped back on. Road past the rainbow loop overlook was closed for the season so we didn’t get to complete the whole tour.. next time!

This is a very nice way to learn about the park. We had no trouble with the technology. We downloaded the app and the audio tour at the hotel the night before. Then we connected our phone through the car's CarPlay. It is important to allow the app to know your location. Then as we drove up to the park, the app started on its own! You can go at your own pace and go where you want in the park, but when you are on the tour's route, you hear good information about your current location. Some of the information was historical and some of it was practical (i.e. where to park for a shuttle or what hikes are available at a location). The road was closed at the top of the park due to snow, so we couldn't finish the tour, but since we get to keep it, we may someday get to hear the whole thing!

Unfortunately we did not know that we needed to purchase a timed entry pass along with our lifetime pass so we were not even able to enter the park. Wish we knew that before we got to the gate. Very disappointing!

patsys1951

It seemed like the tour was to be downloaded to your phone, but instead you had to get a ticket and go to an entrance with it and that didn't open until 9. Way too much time and work for a vacation tour.

We drove up Old Fall River Rd and then back to Estes on Trail Ridge Rd. We used the app and it was helpful to give history but also things that were coming up, where to park, etc. We would consider this product on future vacations as well.

Tour itself was great. Process for obtaining what was needed was poor. Calling customer service was useless (reps kept resending same items and were unhelpful).

Brendastp

Beautiful views and worked so well as we traveled throughout the Park. So glad we made this purchase.
