We go on food tours frequently on vacation. It’s usually a way for us to learn about the city and experience part of the culture through food. Unfortunately, this was a waste of money and time. This experience was a chaperone bringing us to 3 locations walking across a parking lot and ordering a couple items on the menu to try. We could have done the exact same thing on our own. We didn’t go to all the listed venues. Restaurants didn’t know we were coming and guide ordered a couple things off menu for us to have a bite. In the end, we laughed it off and we were more selective on our tours for the rest of our stay.

Our tour was canceled 2 nights in a row! The first night it was before we went to the Pearl. Rescheduled for Thursday night, 11/30, at 5:00 pm. We decided to drive so we went a little early to get a feel for it. A little after 5;00 I was going to contact someone as to where our guide was when I noticed a message saying our tour was cancelled. We were very disappointed as we only had 2 nights in San Antonio! We love learning about the history of places and wanted to learn about the Pearl!
