Their vineyard is purposefully planted in the heart of the Finger Lakes, in the Town of Hector, on the southeast side of Seneca Lake, the largest of the glacial Finger Lakes by volume. They grow Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Syrah. Only 100% Estate Grown fruit is used in our winemaking.

Located off the beaten path but just a short drive off the main road, Castel Grisch has a one-of-a-kind panoramic view of Seneca Lake. Established in 1983 the winery and tasting room sits on 200 acres of land with over 40 acres under vine. Since their founding they have striven to produce the most consistent and best quality wine, vintage to vintage. The diverse wine list features white wines such as fine viniferas including Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Chardonnay alongside Cornell hybrids Cayuga White and Traminette. Tabora’s wines are 100% estate-grown, harvested, and produced from 200+ acres of vines. Their current wine portfolio focuses on native and hybrid varieties and more recently has expanded on vinifera plantings. Their winemaker focuses on minimal intervention while still maintaining pristine and traditional winemaking practices in order to highlight clean, crisp, and concentrated wines sure to please a variety of palates. We did the Seneca South and West with Lunch tour with Gary as our guide. He was a great host….taking care of everything for us throughout the day. Our first and last wineries were our favorites…Wagner and Barnstormer. The tasting at both reminded us of when we first came to Seneca Lake over twenty years ago. The wine consultants were engaging and and the tasting was generous and enjoyable. The two other wineries were nice to visit, I actually picked grapes at one, but the tasting was rushed and so structured it felt like they were “pushing another bus group through” even though we were a party of 5. I would use Crush tours again. Thanks Gary!

Our group of 8 couldn't have asked for a better day, all thanks to Darryl. Even when we encountered a hiccup with one winery being closed, our Darryl swiftly came to the rescue and took us to a different winery that turned out to be a hidden gem! It was probably even better than the original one we had planned to visit. His knowledge, professionalism, and adaptability truly impressed us. We enjoyed not only the fantastic beverages but also his engaging commentary throughout the day. I can't recommend Darryl enough. If you're looking for an unforgettable wine and beer tasting experience, look no further. Our group unanimously agrees – five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We took our second annual wine tour with Crush and ended up with Deb as our driver during this trip as well as last year. She was very engaging and made our experiences wonderful. Crush was very flexible and professional and got our group of 6 safely back at our hotel after visitng 4 wineries on Southern Seneca Lake. Crush and Deb appear to have a great relationship with the wineries as we were greeted at most places like family.

This was a great wine tour. I did this tour as a birthday gift and CBWT gifted me with a birthday package which was special. I joined another couple on their tour and they were great. We really enjoyed experiencing the wines together. Our driver Deb was the best! She was very knowledgeable about the region and even took us on a special detour to see a hidden nook of BnBs and a beautiful waterfall. I highly recommend this tour company and I hope you’re lucky enough to get Deb as your driver and guide.
