This was a truly pleasant trip. The lighthouse is run by volunteers I believe, and they are greatly knowledgeable about the history of the house and of the Great Lakes as well. The climb to the top of the tower really isn’t bad at all, and the view of the lake was remarkable. Glad I was able to go and I encourage others to make the trip as well!

Had a great time. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The view from the top of the lighthouse is terrific and the park is worth visiting afterwards!

No longer a working light and not as tall as other lights I’ve been to, but it has an unusually large keepers house. It was raised at one point, explaining the 2 exterior styles. Knowledgeable docent with information about the area and light history. Only open limited hours on the weekend; plan ahead to climb the light.

The guided tour was one of the best we have ever done. August was excellent and very knowledgeable/informative. The walk up the steps to the top of the lighthouse had interesting tidbits of history/information and landings to pause if necessary. The grounds were well groomed. Well worth the visit.

The museum contained a nice balance of historical artifacts and informative museum labels. The Lighthouse steps are easy to navigate and the view is worth the climb. It was a lovely way to begin a leisurely Sunday afternoon visit to Milwaukee with out of town guests.
