Tremont City

Tremont, the historic yet continuously evolving neighborhood, features historic Victorian homes, preserved churches and acclaimed restaurants and bars, with the neighborhood clustered around Lincoln Park. Dating back to 1836, the neighborhood was originally incorporated as part of Ohio City before being annexed by Cleveland after the civil war. For generations, it was an enclave to immigrants from Eastern Europe; their influence can still be seen and felt to this day.

Three couples visiting Cleveland went on the Tremont Food Tour. Two other couples joined us. Barbara was our guide and she was absolutely fantastic. She is extremely knowledgeable about Cleveland and its history and culture. This knowledge and her willingness to share and answer questions added a great deal to this tour. The locations we visited had charm and character and the food was delicious and plentiful. I can highly recommend this tour if you are visitor or a resident of Cleveland.

Wanted to do something cool while visiting Cleveland from Detroit and I am so glad I came across this activity! Barb, the tour guide was personable, funny, knowledgeable, and pretty spunky haha she was fantastic. I love our picture together! We went to 3 local places (no spoilers) and it was all so tasty and interesting. Each place was cool and also accommodating of dietary needs/preferences. Wish at least one drink was included and there was fun photo opportunities. Other than that I highly recommend you do this tour if you're ever in town!

False advertising! The description says we should of had Firebrick pizza, a meat & cheese platter, chocolate paired with wine or craft beer which we didn’t receive anything along the lines of this! The description made it seem like we were receiving 4-6 different items and we only made 3 stops. The tour guide wasn’t loud enough and didn’t do a very good job explaining what types of food we were receiving or explaining the history of the restaurants. This is the second food tour we have been on and this one was sure a disappointment.

Had a wonderful tour with Ann! She's very informative and enjoys sharing Cleveland stories with natives & visitors alike. Delicious food & plenty of it. If you enjoy learning about a Cleveland neighborhood and Polish/Eastern European fare with a little Thai mixed in, this tour's for you!! Would love to try the other tours available next time we visit Cleveland.

Ann is fantastic - she’s very much a people person and shared her wealth of knowledge about Tremont and Cleveland. Even though our group grew up on the west side, we learned so much that we never knew. The food at every stop was fantastic and so representative of the ethnic influences in the city - pierogis, stuffed cabbage, and Thai food. Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I had a great time! Steven was an absolutely wonderful guide, very personable, and the food we had was amazing! We were the youngest on the tour and still felt very included and welcomed. It was a night full of laughter and fun, and I recommend to anyone looking for something new to do!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and came away full, happy, and informed. This was a great way to get a little history of the area and a thorough introduction to the food scene in Tremont. We visited four very unique restaurants, but had many more in the area pointed out as well. We are looking forward to doing the Little Italy tour next!

We are four friends from the Steubenville-Carrollton area. We stay for long weekends in major cities. This was our first visit to Cleveland and we love seeing different architecture and neighborhoods. We enjoy food and beverage tasting so this was a great avenue for experiencing all of that. Ann was wonderful.

3 restaurants - tour guide was great and full of interesting facts about the area. Food was very good and we enjoyed all of the food, drink and company!!

We were visiting from Columbus, Ohio and took our two teen boys on the tour with us. Ann was an engaging and very informative guide. It was interesting to hear all the history of this cute little town. The food experience was all delicious, the restaurant owners were welcoming and we had great service. We will definitely try the other tours in our future visits.
