Had some friends visiting from out of town, and having recently read the Orlando Sentinel's review of the Wizard of Oz museum decided we would visit as a Mother's Day treat as we knew one is a Wizard of Oz fan. We've driven by the building multiple times and never felt enticed to visit, assuming it was one of Florida's many tourist traps. Boy. Were we ever wrong! The gift shop alone is a treasure trove, as the owner has amassed a huge collection of Wizard of Oz memorabilia and knickknacks, many of which are for sale. The museum itself has a chronologically arranged collection of historical displays, accompanied by very informative placards and easy to use QR code audio explanations Vian one's own phone. There is a hands-on kids' room playing the 1939 movie via projection on the wall along with Wiz items with which the kids can handle and play. Several exhibits are available for "photo opportunities," and the staff and other visitors are more than happy to help if one's selfish game is not sufficient. The immersive 360° theater room with high-quality animated Wiz scenes, images of the stars from the Hubble Telescope, and projected scenes from Vincent van Gogh paintings is both fascinating and beautiful. The owner - who personally amassed the collection over the past 40 years - was on-site and very engaging, generously sharing information and answering questions Well worth the money and time. If you have any interest in the Wizard of Oz books, movies, history, or memorabilia -- or know anyone who does -- this is a must visit site. Looking forward to bringing the grandkids during their next visit, and enjoying their reaction. Highly recommend!

My mom and I came here as a Mother’s Day activity. We had a fantastic time at the Museum! The staff was incredibly friendly. The historical displays are fascinating and the immersive movie room should not be missed. Stick around and watch the whole custom made film display created by the owners.

The Wizard of Oz Museum in Space Coast is definitely worth a visit if you're a fan of Oz or just love movie history. The place is packed with all sorts of memorabilia, from the classic ruby slippers to original movie scripts, and it's all really well presented. The audio tour was a standout for me. It's loaded with cool tidbits about the film's production and the stories behind some of the most memorable pieces in the collection. It really makes the whole visit a lot more interesting and engaging. What really sets this museum apart is the immersive experience. It’s not just stuff behind glass; you get to really dive into the world of Oz in a way that’s both fun and a bit educational. It’s a blast for both kids and adults and makes for a great day out.

I highly recommend this experience. The museum has thousands of pieces of Wizard of Oz treasures. There are several cute photo opportunities. The immersive experience is absolutely gorgeous. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Pretty interesting didn’t know there was a book but pretty cool. Lots of cool pictures and old books re life sculptures of the characters and models and awesome collectors.

The museum is a great experience for any fan of the Wizard of Oz. On display is an extensive collection of movie memorabilia and merchandise related to the many books. Picture opportunities are many! Take a selfie with the wicked witch or other characters! Be sure to check out the immersive experience too!

This museum is a must see. Absolutely beautiful collection of memorabilia from the move and books. Wonderfully put together by year to year. Interactive walking tour provides a narrative of the items on display. Definitely enjoyed our time here and highly recommend this museum.
